The Future of Accountable Care: Aligning Policy, Purchasers, and Performance

Oct 6

5:00 pm -

5:45 pm

Philadephia, PA

Session Details

Aggregate opens with a conversation bringing together three perspectives shaping the next era of accountable care: federal policy, accountable care advocacy, and the employers and purchasers demanding greater value from the healthcare system.

A senior leader from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will share the federal priorities shaping payment reform, affordability, accountability, and health outcomes. Mara McDermott, CEO of Accountable for Health, will bring a national perspective on the policies and payment models needed to accelerate accountable care, while Lee Lewis, Chief Strategy Officer of the Health Transformation Alliance, will bring the employer and purchaser perspective on what those paying for healthcare increasingly expect from health plans and providers.

Together, they’ll examine where policy, payment, and purchaser expectations are converging, where barriers remain, and what it will take to accelerate a healthcare system that delivers greater accountability for cost, quality, and outcomes.
