Anand Rajani, M.D. is the Chief Clinical and Analytics Innovation Officer for Community Health System in Fresno, California, where he leads the organization’s strategy for artificial intelligence, clinical analytics, and data-driven quality improvement across the health system’s integrated delivery network. A board-certified neonatologist, he also serves as Medical Director of the Community Regional Medical Center NICU, an 84-bed Level IIIB unit, where data-informed practice changes have driven a sustained reduction in chronic lung disease rates and more than 300 consecutive days without a central line-associated bloodstream infection.
Anand previously served as Chief Medical Officer for Community Health Partners Medical Foundation and Chief Medical Officer for Community Care Health, supporting the organizations’ transition toward value-based, population health-oriented care delivery. He holds academic appointments as a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine and a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
Anand’s interest in healthcare analytics dates back to his fellowship training at Stanford, where he collaborated with Dr. Daphne Koller and Dr. Suchi Saria on early machine learning-based risk prediction in premature infants, published in Science Translational Medicine. He has continued to build on that foundation through recent coursework at Harvard Medical School in artificial intelligence strategy and digital transformation in health care, and at the Harvard Data Science Initiative in agentic AI and AI evaluation in health care.
A frequent speaker and program builder at the intersection of clinical medicine and health system analytics, Anand is passionate about translating data and AI capabilities into practical tools that support physicians, improve patient outcomes, and advance the transition to value-based care.
