As interoperability moves from vision to execution, healthcare leaders face both unprecedented opportunities and complex challenges in realizing a truly connected data ecosystem. This roundtable will bring together payer, provider, and health tech stakeholders to explore how emerging regulations, policies, and technologies are shaping the future of data exchange. Discussion will center on California’s Data Exchange Framework (DxF), TEFCA, and the CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorization Rule (CMS-0057-F), alongside perspectives on the Trump administration’s evolving Health Tech Ecosystem initiatives. Participants will examine the intersection of national and state interoperability strategies, the implications for payer–provider collaboration, and how health information exchanges (HIEs) can serve as critical enablers of data liquidity. The conversation will also highlight the growing role of population health management and analytics in transforming shared data into actionable insights that improve outcomes, equity, and efficiency. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the policy landscape, implementation challenges, and practical strategies for accelerating interoperability within their organizations and across the healthcare continuum.
