The Future of Accountable Care: Aligning Policy, Purchasers, and Performance
Aggregate opens with a conversation bringing together perspectives shaping the next era of accountable care: federal policy, accountable care advocacy, and the employers and purchasers demanding greater value from the healthcare system.
Mara McDermott, CEO of Accountable for Health, will bring a national perspective on the policies and payment models needed to accelerate accountable care, while Lee Lewis, Chief Strategy Officer of the Health Transformation Alliance, will bring the employer and purchaser perspective on what those paying for healthcare increasingly expect from health plans and providers.
Together, they’ll examine where policy, payment, and purchaser expectations are converging, where barriers remain, and what it will take to accelerate a healthcare system that delivers greater accountability for cost, quality, and outcomes.

From Policy to Execution: How Healthcare Leaders Are Responding
A powerhouse panel spanning the accountable care ecosystem, Emily Brower, President & CEO of NAACOS; Dr. Rodrigo Cerda, Chief Medical Officer of Aetna; and Arshad Rahim, MD, MBA, FACP, Chief Medical Officer & Senior Vice President, Population Health at Mount Sinai, will explore how organizations are translating greater accountability for risk, quality, cost, and outcomes into strategy and execution.
Bringing together payer, provider, and accountable care perspectives, the discussion will examine how approaches to risk and quality are evolving, what stronger payer-provider alignment requires, where data, technology, and AI can materially improve performance, and what leaders are changing today to prepare for what comes next.
Together, these two conversations move Aggregate from the forces driving healthcare transformation to the leadership decisions required to turn change into measurable performance.

Clinical Data at Collaborative Scale: Describing Half a Million Patients with Apparent Treatment-Resistant Hypertension
Up to 10% of adults with hypertension fail to reach control despite ongoing treatment, making apparent treatment-resistant hypertension (aTRH) a common and stubborn driver of cardiovascular morbidity. Given the high prevalence of failed BP control and the associated harms, aTRH represents a major population health opportunity.
This session describes how a national cohort of more than half a million adults with linked clinical and claims data was assembled, and previews who these patients are, how they are treated and the extent to which inadequate control is associated with failure to deliver guideline concordant care. You’ll hear perspectives from Arcadia and Ochsner Health on how collaborative research gets built — and how the Arcadia Research Collaborative dataset can answer your own population questions.
